GWQ3 - THE FIRST 10 QUESTIONS

Hi everybody! Mondays eh? What fun.

Well how about we make Monday even more fun with the start of Geeky Wordplay Quiz 3!

Good idea, right?

I will repeat as I always do, that this quiz is very geeky. Please, please, please don't bother if you don't like weak cryptic clues and terrible puns. I like both, but that's just me.

Ok, a lot of you already know the score, but for the newcomers here's how it works.

1. There are 10 questions below.

2. All answers must be sent to geekquiz@endemoluk.com by MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. Don't tweet any answers. Everyone is usually very good at following this rule. Include your Twitter user name in your email.

3. The next 10 questions (plus the answers to today's) will appear here tomorrow morning.

4. 40 questions in all.

The player with the highest score (and it's always a titanic battle) will win a copy of 'The 100 Most Pointless Things In The World' signed by both Xander and myself. 

Two other entrants will also win a signed book; one to an entrant picked at random, and one to the winner of a special tiebreaker later in the week.
